Congratulations to IRF Woman of Year

The IFRTD Secretariat would like to congratulate one of IFRTD's long time supporters, Christina Malmberg Calvo, who has recently been awarded the International Road Federation's (IRF) Woman of the Year award.

Christina is currently the country manager for the World Bank in the Dominican Republic and has held many positions in the bank including Rural TRansport Advisor in the TRansport anchor. She is recognised for her life long contribution to the Rural Transport Agenda and IRF aptly recognises her "for the long-standing involvement in the development of rural roads in many countries in desperate need of basic road infrastructure." The award is presented to an individual for their professional services to the field of highway and road engineering.
