10th Transnet Meeting - Rural Roads Maintenance and Financing

The main objective of this event is to provide a broad overview on the \'state of the art\' in rural roads maintenance and financing, and to pin point critical issues and unmet challenges. The event will invite inputs for discussion from various levels of operation:
- An outline of the subject regarding current knowledge on approaches, options and relevant experiences at global level.
- An outlook on major ongoing DFID funded, initiatives (SEACAP/AFCAP) at regional level
- An example of how the issues are dealt with in the rural roads programmes of SDC/Helvetaa (PrEst) at local level/national level.There will also be time for participants to exchange knowledge and experiences and to network.
